Heathens & Thieves is exactly the kind of narrative feature you hope for as a film festival director. For starters, the production quality is superb and could easy rival any of the major Hollywood Studios. Next, the sets and wardrobe are amazing! Immediately after the first fade, in you are engulfed into the world of the Wild West. Thirdly, the characters are believable and the actors and actresses give excellent performances, fully bringing their characters to life. But, most importantly, the story is great!

Producer Peter Scott, co-director Megan Peterson, and co-director and screenwriter John Sinclair take us on a classical Wild West adventure of betrayal, stolen gold, and heroes. For all these reasons, we could find no better film to close out a weekend spent celebrating great films and the filmmakers that make them than Heathens & Thieves.
